Why Not to Share a Fishing Charter
Education about why not to share a Fishing Charter after communicating with us. Why Not To Share A Charter ? The good charter captains make good money, and are always booked. They dont need to discount their rates. For example, captain A always catches a ton of fish, captain B does not. If you were to spend your money, would you spend $600 with Captain A or $300 with Captain B?

” I avoid shared Fishing Charter. This is due to unrealistic goals the anglers. The captain has no input to the angler till they show up the morning of the trip.Examples, Winter months while live baiting for sailfish we don’t troll for dolphin but the angler were told they would be trolling for dolphin? One half of the split charter is now show or late and the mood of the day is ruined before the boat leaves the dock or doesn’t sail as one half the split no shows.The split charter customers are non-compatible and end up arguing or dad and his kid with a couple of drunks. Customer with party A is sea sick and customer B wants to remain fishing Who gets the sailfish when he bits versus the King Mack? ”

“most if not all of unhappy customers are from the share charters. Somebody doesn’t show up, the people don’t get along, one half wants to go back in early, a three way split and catch a sailfish and a marlin, and the third guy didn’t get anything because we were on the Marlin all day. He was furious !

DREW STRAWS TO SEE WHO CATCHES FISH AND STILL A FIGHT!
My first and last share a charter Group :
A mixed group military, kids, and a “drugged out psycho” It was a slow day, and we got just one Tuna, on the troll.
We had drawn straws for angler order, and the winner, being the only one to reel in a fish, felt entitled to the whole fish.
Back at the dock, I was preparing to divvy up the fish, there was enough for everybody to get a nice chunk, when the psycho guy, who was not even the lucky angler, loudly proclaimed that the fish belonged to the angler who reeled it in, and everybody else, including himself, should suck wind.
I stated as captain we would share the fish, but the fight was on and loud, and I finally wound up throwing the poor fish back into the water and calling the cops to get the group off the dock!
